The Bible Land Museum opened this unique project 'People of the world inscribe the Bible' on 20th Jan 2007. It was initiated by the Bible Valley Society together with the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project is a global initiative wherein hundreds of thousands of people unite together to inscribe the Bible in their native languages. This unique act has indeed build bridges of understanding between the people as they are united by their shared love and reverence for the Bible.
I remembered at that time, I just moved up to YAM and my DGL was Choo Hin. As we were having dinner fellowship, if i remembered correctly, we ate the 'Margaret drive' porridge and had some chicken wings shared. Then either Choo Hin or Irene, his wife, mentioned about this project. For some reason, I felt the prompting to want to participate, so I offered to chip in. I remembered writing the whole chapter of Revelation 5: The Scroll and the Lamb.
It was indeed a privilege to participate in writing the Bible in my language. I thank God for such a wonderful thing to happen to my life. The wait was long, 4 years before I was honored with the rest of the people with a certificate. My mother also participated but i think due to some administrative issues, she wasn't honored on paper, but I am absolutely sure God will honor her in His heart. Praise the Lord! :)))
