Science Centre and CSI

What a tiring day today! Today's Huixian's last day of exam, so we decided to go out and celebrate her freedom hahaaa. Anyway we went to Science Centre for the CSI exhibition. It was really an enriching experience having to be able to learn abit of forensic science. I was indeed really glad that I am able to have the joy of being a rookie crime scene investigator. Anyway we were assigned Crime Scene 2 out of the 3 Crime Scene scenarios. It was a crime scene about a girl who got intoxicated by her jealous friend as she was given the role of being a famous actress. At first, I thought it was a date rape and murder crime but her clothes weren't in a mess and there was no blood at her thigh area.

So the next thing I saw was a marking on her abdomen area which I thought she was stepped upon. Subsequently I also saw a fly which I thought was useless but in the end was very crucial to the investigation. So anyway off we went to look at various stations, tracing her sms and also learning how to match DNA and do qualitative analysis on the pack of powder found in her handbag.

We also got the chance to match car tyre prints and that we first thought she was ran over by the car thief. In the end, the verdict was that as there were no blood stains found in her internal organs as being crushed by a car can result in rupture of blood vessels and internal organs. She was indeed intoxicated by a drug given by her friend. What a wonderful time spent in Science Centre. I wanted to spend more time there but I realised that I am to go collect my rabbit from the groomer and he had been left there from 11am to 4pm. So we left earlier. The day was fun and I enjoyed myself. Thank God.
